Based in North Wales and

Amici del Canto
Amici del Canto at Conwy Castle.
Amici del Canto is Italian for 'friends of song'.
Based in the beautiful surroundings of North Wales, we are a 23-strong choir comprised of music professionals and vocal students and we perform a wide repertoire of choral music; from 'household-name' composers to those who are less familiar, and covering nearly half a millennium of musical history.
Alongside our local performances we have also performed internationally; most notably our participation in the International Sacred Music Choir Festival in Rome which included a performance providing music for Holy Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. In July 2007 we toured the Hessen region of Germany, performing at some of the area's most beautiful and historic churches and this was extremely busy time for us but very successful.
Summer of 2008 sees our return trip to Italy. This time, however, we will be performing in and around Urbino, a beautiful and very historic area of the country. Much is anticipated of the tour and we are all very excited to renew our Italian connections.
Furthermore, we are holders of the Nicholson Rose Bowl, the Nicholson Bowl and the prestigious Oriana Cup from the Chester Competitive Festival.
Wherever we have been invited to perform we have consistently been received with great acclaim and we look forward to welcoming visitors to this Website at future events. For full biographical details please visit the Choir page.
Next Appearance
We will be defending our titles at the Chester Competitive Festival at the end of April and are currently putting together our Summer programme; we will, of course, be posting details of our concerts in the near future. Please check back for further details.
